Welcome to The Gerrards Cross Bookshop!

Staff at The Gerrards Cross BookshopWelcome to the Gerrards Cross Bookshop website. Well, Spring has definitely sprung and our door is wide open to welcome you in. Janet, Philippa, Tracey and Wendy look forward to seing you all. I’m sure most of you know Janet who’s been at the shop for… too many years to mention, while the others are newbies. I’m sure you’ll all help them to settle in, they will do everything they can to help you find that perfect book or gift. Don’t forget that we can get most books in on a next day basis, before 12 with no extra charge. Particularly useful for those last minute revision guides!

Our next event here in Gerrards Cross is another collaboration with Fego's Caffe. On Thursday 20th June, we are delighted to be welcoming Magnus Macintyre to talk about his new book 'Whirligig' This is his first novel and had had great reviews. It is the story of George Claypole who finds himself in the wilds of Scotland plunged into an eccentric community at war over a wind farm. Described as a raucous, joyous, sometimes poignant comedy, this book is likened to P G Wodehouse. Should be a really entertaining evening.

Childrens Area at The Gerrards Cross BookshopAs with last time, the tickets are £10 to include a glass of wine and a light supper provided by the lovely girls at Fego's. Tickets sold really well for the last evening with Ed Kelsey Moore, so don't leave it too late!
